About this event

All are welcome to attend! At Access to Discovery, while you enjoy a provided dinner, you will learn basic sign language from a certified ASL professor in hopes of increasing the inclusivity of the deaf community in Jonesboro. Collaborating on-campus clubs, Women in Science, the Honors College Association, Pre-Professional, Pre-SOMA, and LOOP w ill introduce their clubs and talk to interested students. Then, you can help pack STEM kits, ranging from elementary through high school, for both blind/visually impaired and deaf/hard of hearing students. These kits include tasks such as digging for fossils, planting seeds, building catapults, and crafting candy bridges!
