Day of the Dead exhibition

About this event

The Dia de los Muertos exhibition celebrates an important cultural tradition while bringing together fine art, community, and education. It is particularly meaningful in Northeast Arkansas, where the Latino community is an important and growing part of the region. The exhibition brings together art works on loan from the Art Museum of the University of Memphis, the Mississippi Museum of Art, and the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, alongside works from BAM's permanent collection and new creations by A-State students enrolled in the Advanced Fibers course. The exhibition creates opportunities for cross-cultural learning, connects students with regional museum collections, and strengthens relationships between the university and the communities it serves.
