  • Jonesboro was named a 2025 Trendsetter Award winner by the Arkansas Municipal League for its Emergency Medical Dispatch program that gives 911 dispatchers the ability to offer lifesaving instructions before first responders arrive.   • On Tuesday night, Arkansas State men's basketball beat Arkansas Tech 107-63 at First National Bank Arena (the win extended their home streak to 14 games) and will play James Madison on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.  The Fox 104.9
  • The ASU women’s basketball team will face Southern Miss at 6 p.m. today at Reed Green Coliseum in Hattiesburg, Miss. The teams have records of 11-3 for ASU and 9-4 for Southern Miss as they aim to extend their winning streak.  Delta Digital News Service
  • Johnson dropped 35 points as GCT beat Nettleton in the Girls Upper Division title game of the NEA Tournament on Dec. 31 — a strong finish that energized local high school sports fans.  K8 News
  • On Tuesday, TJ Caldwell scored 17 points and made all 4 free throws while Matt Hayman added 17 points and 3 steals as Arkansas State beat Arkansas Tech 107-63. The win brought the team to 10-4 on the season with key plays from Christian Harmon and David Elliott IV.  K8 News
  • Riverside won the girls lower division championship at the 2025 NEA Tournament on Dec. 31, beating Marked Tree in a contest that showcased strong local talent.  K8 News
