  • The Northeast Arkansas Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade Committee announced the 24th MLK Jr. Day Celebration will take place Jan. 18 to 19 in Jonesboro.   • The St. Louis Fed said economic activity in Arkansas grew modestly from strong late-holiday sales & steady employment, while some businesses faced rising prices and ongoing agricultural supply issues.   • The Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library will host Tween Stations: Sensory Night for tweens on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Round Room (315 West Oak Avenue), offering interactive puzzles, optical illusions, and sensory stations with no registration required.  Northeast Arkansas News
  • Farmers, consultants, and students gathered at Arkansas State University on Wednesday for the 28th Annual Arkansas Soil and Water Education Conference to learn ways to protect soil health and water quality.
