- ➤ Twenty professionals from eight counties were selected as part of the inaugural NEA Regional Leadership Accelerator Academy (which met earlier this week) in Jonesboro; the program will hold six sessions starting in January and finish with graduation in November. NEA Report

- ➤ Craighead County has issued a burn ban due to dry conditions and high fire risk. The order (enforced by the sheriff, fire officials and Arkansas Forestry Services) remains in effect until weather conditions improve. Jonesboro Right Now

- ➤ Jonesboro Human Development Center broke ground on a new wellness center that will bring closer medical care to its 100 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
