- ➤ Local artists are invited to paint traffic signal cabinets as part of a beautification effort led by the City and Foundation of Arts, with applications due Jan. 30. - ➤ Williams Baptist University has received a $150,000 donation from Fresh Ideas to advance plans for its campus wellness center, which will include workout areas + basketball courts and community spaces. - ➤ Jonesboro High School presented the Tau Delta Pi Step Team a $50,000 Walking Together grant on Jan. 15 as part of a folklife program supporting communities of color. - ➤ A new clinic for primary care was announced Friday and will soon open on Highway 49 in Brookland. Dr. Tommy Wagner’s team will partner with St. Bernards Healthcare to provide primary care along with rehabilitation, lab, and imaging services. Northeast Arkansas News
- ➤ Wagner Medical Clinic will open a new facility in Brookland on Highway 49 (just south of West School Street) to provide comprehensive, personalized primary care while St. Bernards Healthcare will oversee supplemental services including rehab, lab and imaging; the expansion builds on their partnership that began in 2013.
