  • Arkansas State University in Jonesboro is hosting a month of events to celebrate 100 years of Black History Month (marking a century of honoring Black history) and invites the community to join in learning and celebration.  K8 News

  • Arkansas State University reported a record spring 2026 enrollment with 16,145 students, including 8,141 on campus and 8,004 online, and 133,875 credit hours attempted — a 6.4% increase from last spring along with 521 transfer students signaling growing academic demand.  Jonesboro Right Now
  • Dr. C. Lowry Barnes was named the permanent chancellor at UAMS after serving as interim since July, replacing Cam Patterson.   • City committees met Tuesday morning to plan how to align youth sports with sports tourism by considering a new sports tourism commission or an expansion of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.
