  • The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas launched the Vivery system in March to help residents find food pantries and get mass text alerts during winter weather. The interactive hub now features filters like Open Today and verified badges to ease food access.  Jonesboro Right Now
  • Alpha Phi Alpha's Theta Upsilon chapter and A-State A.T.L.A.S. will host its second 5K Run & Walk for Autism on Saturday, April 11 at 9 a.m. at Heritage Plaza Lawn on campus. The race will raise autism awareness during Autism Acceptance Month and welcomes participants and leashed dogs.  The Fox 104.9

  • Arkansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine is on track for a fall opening — Chancellor Todd Shields said a January site visit went well, 17 faculty members have been hired, and construction of a 56,000 sqft facility and two educational barns on the Jonesboro campus is progressing.  Jonesboro Right Now
  • An Arkansas State University junior received a PPIA fellowship to attend Harvard University's summer program from June 14 to July 31 — a seven-week, fully-funded experience to build his public service skills.  Mix 106.3

  • Neighbors in Bono organized a community blood drive at Bono Church of Christ on Monday to support 7-year-old Jacob Garland, who is battling CNS sarcoma and is now on hospice. Nearly 50 donors participated, reflecting the community’s support (and hope for his healing).  Northeast Arkansas News

  • Gosnell beat Highland 74-57 in the 4A3 boys quarterfinal on Monday, Feb. 16 — a competitive game that energized local school sports.  K8 News
  • Pocahontas beat Westside 67 — 57 in the 4A3 quarterfinals Monday, Feb. 16, and the team now looks ahead to the next round. Local fans remain excited as the playoffs build momentum.  K8 News
  • The Brookland girls edged Pocahontas 59-58 in a tight 4A3 quarterfinal game on Monday, Feb. 16 and advanced to the next round of the tournament.  K8 News
