- ➤ Southern Bancorp hosted its annual Super Saturday Tax Filing event Saturday at St. Bernards Auditorium, providing Jonesboro community members with free tax preparation, financial counseling, legal services, record sealing, and health screenings. K8 News

- ➤ The Arkansas Department of Transportation warns that winter moisture and recent storms have started pothole season on busy roads in Jonesboro. Residents are asked to report potholes (including nearby landmarks) to help ensure prompt repairs. K8 News

- ➤ Tournaments for 4A, 3A, 2A and 1A teams will begin at six host venues including Stuttgart & Manila on Wednesday, Feb. 25, and continue through Saturday, Feb. 28 with quarterfinal winners advancing to state competition. K8 News
- ➤ Arkansas State’s Lady Red Wolves set a record by hitting 19 three-point shots during a 92-66 win over Louisiana on Saturday at the Cajundome (Mia Tarver and D’Arrah Allen each scored 17 points). The team will host Troy tomorrow at 5 p.m. at First National Bank Arena. The Fox 104.9
- ➤ Arkansas State won a 9-2 baseball game over Eastern Illinois on Sunday at Slayton Family Field at Tomlinson Stadium. Dylan Farley struck out 15 batters (earning the win) while Kole Turner earned his second save. Jonesboro Right Now
