- ➤ Henry Gathuru Ndichu, 38, who is in the country on an expired visa, was arrested on March 16 in Bono after he allegedly stabbed his mother-in-law on Country Road 113 and now faces a charge of attempted first-degree murder with bail set at $100,000 + a no-contact order and GPS ankle monitor, while his next court appearance is scheduled for April 24. - ➤ GasBuddy reported Monday that gas prices dropped 4.5 cents to 2.67 a gallon, which is 14.5 cents lower than last month and 38.2 cents less than a year ago—Patrick De Haan said prices could rise if the economy improves. K8 News

- ➤ Crews from North Arkansas Electric are working to restore power after a tornado damaged over 400 poles across several counties; nearly 12,000 customers lost power on Friday, and by Monday afternoon only about 1,300 remained without power. CEO Mel Coleman said he had never seen such extensive damage and expects power will be fully restored by the end of the week—an effort complicated by debris and challenging terrain. K8 News
