  • Ridgepointe Country Club and the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society hosted the Pars for Paws tournament Friday to raise awareness and funds for animal care — 18 two-man scramble teams played and the event met its goal with $10,000 raised.  K8 News
  • Jonesboro woman Linda Pendergrass won a $5,000 shopping spree during Saturday's event hosted by Jonesboro Media Group and Lucky’s Mattress and Furniture Outlet (its third consecutive year) in front of several hundred attendees; she said she plans to buy new living room furniture (her choice).  The Fox 104.9

  • Experts warn boaters that lower water levels in Northwest Arkansas lakes, rivers and streams do not mean safety, with state data showing 17 boating deaths last year (according to the report).  Delta Digital News Service

  • Arkansas State University Museum opened its 'Through a Child's Eyes' art display Saturday, featuring over 200 pieces by pre-K through eighth grade students (each grade has its winner) from the region. The display will run throughout April, inviting families to admire local creativity.  K8 News

  • On Friday, ASU’s women’s team tied a record by making 20 three-pointers in an 83-72 win over Purdue-Fort Wayne at First National Bank Arena. They will host Cleveland State Monday at 7 p.m. in a WNIT quarterfinal match.  Delta Digital News Service
  • Former JHS student and WBU guard Deion Wesson committed to UAPB out of the transfer portal on Saturday, Mar. 28 while he prepares to join the college team for the upcoming season.  K8 News
  • JaShawn 'JJ' Andrews — named Boys Player of the Year — overcame a scary injury in his final high school season in Jonesboro and showed that the setback did not define his play.  Delta Digital News Service
  • Aniyah Ruddock scored a season high as Arkansas State won its WNIT Super 16 game on Saturday, Mar. 28. Her standout play became one of several key storylines in the tournament.  K8 News
