- ➤ Jonesboro’s upcoming Rotaract Club will offer young adults ages 18 to 35 leadership development, networking and community service opportunities (including Arkansas State University students) through Rotary International. - ➤ Delta Symposium, themed 'Monsters, Cryptids & the Monstrous,' will take place April 8-11 at Arkansas State University with free public events and academic presentations starting Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the student union; Thursday and Friday sessions will include workshops, readings, and a keynote address. - ➤ Arkansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine received approval to recruit students for its first veterinary medicine class this fall. Construction of the new building is on track for a fall ribbon cutting, and the four-year program will combine three years on campus with one year of clinical training. K8 News
- ➤ Arkansas Supreme Court members visited Arkansas State University on April 2 for the biannual Appeals on Wheels event at Riceland Hall. Students from A-State and five local high schools watched oral arguments about a Jonesboro case + met with justices to learn how the legal process works. NEA Report
- ➤ The Health, Wellness & Environmental Studies Magnet School will host a student plant sale on Saturday, Apr. 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 1001 Rosemond Ave (gym entrance on Greenwood St.), where proceeds will support student projects and greenhouse initiatives. NEA Report

- ➤ GOJO Transit is adding credit and debit card payments and a refillable tap card to speed boarding in Jonesboro - cash will still be accepted while officials plan the update for improved convenience. Northeast Arkansas News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ St. Bernards Healthcare expanded heart and vascular care in Greene County by opening a new clinic and diagnostic center at Paragould Medical Park on Thursday. A heart catheterization lab is under construction and will open later this spring to perform more complex procedures. NEA Report
