  • Tenaris will invest $11.7 million to upgrade its welded pipes plant in Hickman over a two-year phased project, adding new process controls and automated pipe movements in Mississippi County to better serve the American energy market.  K8 News
  • Northeast Arkansas developer Jeremy Osment has bought Harley-Davidson of Jonesboro from Bryan and Carolyn Marsh. The deal was announced Tuesday + the dealership at 2715 Industrial Drive will be renamed Osment’s Harley-Davidson of Jonesboro as renovations and more staff are planned.  Jonesboro Right Now
  • North Jonesboro developer Shannon Kee seeks a liquor license for his planned restaurant —141 Prime at Sterling Springs on County Road 766— after his first application was rejected last year; 170 members await a spot. A committee advanced his proposal; the full quorum court will vote on it April 28.  K8 News

  • At Arkansas State University's College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Convocation of Scholars awards ceremony recognized top graduates. Landon Elliot Rogers of Jonesboro earned the Chancellor’s Scholar Award + 4.0 Award while other students received departmental honors.  NEA Report

  • Jonesboro is applying for a $1.7 million federal grant to build a 1.35-mile trail along South Culberhouse St that will connect the Southern Hills development to Craighead Forest Park — council will review the resolution on April 21.  K8 News

  • Layne Taylor and Jordan Pyke became the first 2026 portal commitments for the Arkansas State men’s basketball team, reported on Apr. 14. Their decisions add early momentum as the team prepares for the upcoming season.  K8 News
