- ➤ Arkansas State University is hosting a three-day Festival of Flowers that blends art and science at the Department of Art (and Design), featuring exhibitions, workshops, and community activities. - ➤ The Valley View Blazer Band honored late band member Bentley Peterson with a seven-minute memorial piece at its Honor Ensemble Performance on April 16 at Searcy High School Performing Arts Center, featuring a trombone solo + flute duet, and will perform it again on May 5 at the Valley View Fine Arts Center. - ➤ NYITCOM at A-State signed agreements with the University of Guam and two hospital systems to offer clinical training in Guam and address doctor shortages in both Guam and the Mississippi Delta region. - ➤ Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed Shane Speights, dean of NYITCOM at A-State, to the Arkansas State Board of Health on Thursday.
