Jeff Purinton resigned his role as Arkansas State athletic director on April 19 and has accepted a job at Learfield—official details will be announced next week.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission approved changes to the waterfowl season for 2025-26—shortening the early blue-winged teal season to Sept 20-28 to help conserve the flock and raising the daily bag limit for northern pintails from one to three.

Cyclists took part in a pre-race ride on April 19 that supported Pedal It Forward—an organization that refurbishes used bikes—by riding sections of the course for the upcoming gravel festival, The Skirmish.

The race will be held from May 29 to June 1 and is expected to draw riders from across the region.
