Police arrested a 77-year-old Lake City woman on April 27 after she tried to run over a pedestrian on Elm Street when video showed her swerving and threatening—she faces charges of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening and is free on a $35,000 bond pending arraignment on Aug. 1.

After winning event titles at the Alumni Classic in Jonesboro this past weekend, Arkansas State track and field athletes Noa Isaia and Carly Pujol received weekly honors from the Sun Belt Conference on April 30, with Isaia recognized for his standout hammer throw and Pujol honored for her pole vault win.

Arkansas State men’s basketball head coach Ryan Pannone announced that veteran coach Jordan Fair joined his staff as an assistant for the 2025-26 season.
