- ➤ Project Care Arkansas is teaming with Shadrach’s Coffee locations across Northeast Arkansas for a fundraiser today. The event will run all day to support community members with special needs through job fairs (networking and skill development). Northeast Arkansas News
- ➤ Jonesboro public pools will open on Saturday, May 23 — Parker Park Pool and Jonesboro Pool and Recreation Center will offer open swim hours from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily; the recreation center will host a splash ceremony, food trucks, and vendors. Mix 106.3

- ➤ The NEA Fellowship Mass Choir will hold auditions for its November concert 'IN GOD, WE SERVE' for musicians and vocalists aged 16 and older at New Convent Christian Fellowship Church (3915 E. Nettleton Ave., Suite H) on Saturday, May 23 at 12 p.m. The Fox 104.9
- ➤ KLEK 102.5 FM will host its ninth annual Juneteenth celebration from June 12-19 in Jonesboro. The free week-long event features a parade, community fair, Black history exhibits, a jazz concert at the public library at 6 p.m. on June 19 plus a 9:15 p.m. fireworks display at University Lions Park. - ➤ On May 6, Westside High School senior Darcy Ford was surprised by GMR8 Anchor Charles McCary with a $10,000 scholarship from K8 and Arkansas State — a boost for future Red Wolves dreams. K8 News
- ➤ Arkansas State University students competed in the National Student Advertising Competition in Dallas where they pitched campaigns for the NFL. Eleven participants from Leslie Parker’s graphic design class returned to Jonesboro with the Jeanie Ruedy Spirit Award, marking A-State’s first entry in the contest. NEA Report
- ➤ Two Arkansas State University Doctor of Physical Therapy students received $20,000 scholarships from the Bridging the Gap program to ease financial burdens and support service in underserved areas. - ➤ Arkansas State University and Kalmer Solutions signed a three-year agreement to launch the Red Wolf Security Operations Center this fall at the university's IT division. - ➤ Arkansas State won 12-0 as Ckyler Tengler pitched a nine-inning no-hitter against Little Rock on Tuesday evening, marking the program’s first such feat since 2005 & second against Little Rock.
