- ➤ Adoria Roberts, a first-year sport management major at A-State, earned a Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship and will study Chinese this summer at Chung Yuan Christian University in Taoyuan City, Taiwan. She is among 2,100 students awarded nationwide from more than 12,200 applications. The Fox 104.9
- ➤ Arkansas State University System is launching a privately funded scholarship for adult learners who delayed college to support degree programs and workforce training at all ASU campuses — including Jonesboro — with funds covering tuition, books, fees and required testing. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Jonesboro Fire Department earned the Gold Helmet designation for registering most firefighters in a national cancer registry today, marking its commitment to reducing cancer risks from hazardous work environments.
