  • The City of Jonesboro announced the June Neighborhood Cleanup will be held on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to noon at Fisher Street United Methodist Church — recycling service will include cardboard and glass, and participation is for city residents.  Jonesboro Right Now

  • Jonesboro residents observe Memorial Day by honoring veterans and reflecting on the sacrifices made for freedom; local figures like William Silas and Mary Long share personal stories (reminiscent of historic battles at Pearl Harbor and Normandy) to ensure these acts are not forgotten.  K8 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Jonesboro Public Library is hosting special events for teens in early June.   • All-SEC left-hander Hunter Dietz is set to pitch for the Razorbacks this weekend in the NCAA Lawrence Regional after he sustained a shin injury during Friday's SEC Tournament game.
