The 10th annual A Time to Honor and Remember ride took place on May 26 and began at the Veterans and Foreign Wars Post before heading to the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye.

Veterans, military members and supporters gathered for lunch and a ceremony to honor fallen heroes—reflecting the true meaning of Memorial Day.

The Craighead County Veterans Monument Foundation held a Memorial Day ceremony Monday, May 26th at the new courthouse annex after forecasts of rain led to a last-minute change from the Doughboy statue location.

President Rich Norris honored veterans from conflicts like Vietnam and Iraq—presenting memorial bricks to local heroes—while the ceremony featured prayers, national anthems, and the playing of Taps.

Jersey Mike’s Subs will soon open a second location on Southwest Drive in Jonesboro — its official opening date has not yet been set.

The chain’s first shop opened last September.

The Foundation of Arts will start the summer season with Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical at the Forum Theater on E.

Monroe Ave. The show will feature a 50-member cast with performances in June—tickets cost $24 for adults and $22 for children, seniors, military, and ASU students.

The Arkansas Razorbacks earned the No. 3 national seed on Monday and now top the Fayetteville Regional— they will host North Dakota State on Friday at Baum-Walker Stadium with first pitch at 2 p.m. If they win, the regional champion will advance to a super regional against the winner from the Knoxville Regional.
