- ➤ Road closures in downtown Jonesboro will begin Friday, May 30 for The Skirmish Delta Gravel Festival, which runs from today to June 1 + Main Street from Washington to Huntington will be closed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. - ➤ Authorities are investigating possible remains of a Mississippi County man reported missing in 2022 after children playing near a family boat discovered bones, clothing, and a wallet on a remote island in the Mississippi River near Snow Lake — officials in Mississippi County and Kennett, Missouri are now working the case. - ➤ Christopher Ball, 36, is accused of violating a protection order when he allegedly attacked his ex-girlfriend in Jonesboro on May 5 by forcing his way into her car—damaging the door and dragging her out while punching and kicking her, then threatening to shoot the vehicle with her child inside, and he was arrested on May 26.
