- ➤ The Historic Dyess Colony: Johnny Cash Boyhood Home announced that Rosanne Cash will host the Sunken Lands Songwriting Circle with Trisha Yearwood and John Leventhal at 7 p.m. on Sept. 12 in Riceland Hall at Arkansas State University. - ➤ Jonesboro city council approved a $17.5M revenue bond ordinance on June 19 to fund a new E-911 Center, widen Caraway Road and add pedestrian and bike-friendly trails with $16M set for these projects and an extra $1.5M for unexpected costs. The bonds are financed by non-tax revenue from franchise fees and passed by a 9-3 vote using an emergency clause to lock in a 4.96% rate—while the center's location is still being decided.
