  • OutNEA, a nonprofit from Jonesboro, hosted a Pride March downtown as a direct response to the canceled PrideFest and a hot summer day; the march began at Something Art Café and ended at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church—where local vendors supported the event.  K8 News
  • The West End Neighborhood Association held its annual Garden Tour on Sunday, June 22 in the West End where residents showed off historic and varied gardens for visitors. All proceeds from the event went to fund neighborhood improvement projects + support community safety and quality of life.  K8 News

  • Saline County investigators are looking into a fatal dog attack on June 11 in rural Alexander that killed a 15-year-old—animal rescue groups and humane officials are urging lawmakers to strengthen animal control measures and regulate pet licenses to prevent similar incidents.  Delta Digital News Service
  • Juquella Kayanna White is in jail after stealing four slushy machines from Jonesboro stores to use in her food truck—she faces two Class D theft charges, a $50,000 bond and a court date on July 31.  K8 News

  • Arkansas State men’s basketball head coach Ryan Pannone announced on June 22nd that Dean Cooper joins the 2025-26 coaching staff as an assistant coach. Cooper returns to coaching after two years in player development — his experience spans 22 years with college and NBA teams — and he is set to help improve the team's defense.  Mix 106.3
  • Arkansas State Football landed new recruits—DB Omari Bledsoe, ATH Deandre Gibson, and WR Dallas Boozer—to strengthen their team ahead of the upcoming season. The commitments were announced on June 22nd at 7:24 p.m. CDT and mark a boost to the program's efforts.  K8 News
