  • Luther Sutter, a Little Rock attorney with cases in Northeast Arkansas, filed a defamation lawsuit against Thurstle Mullen over claims made on Jonesboro’s Best Yard Sale and News Site, and Mullen says he no longer has access to Facebook or Instagram. Mullen filed a counterclaim on July 11 seeking damages + his filing accuses Sutter and his firm of helping remove his accounts while the lawsuit remains pending.  NEA Report
  • Neighbors in Need NEA is partnering with local nonprofits to host a community picnic on Saturday, July 26 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Bernards Auditorium at 505 E.   • Jonathan Enoch Bricker, a registered sex offender, missed his court appearance on July 14 for a probation revocation hearing and a judge ordered his entry into the NCIC for nationwide extradition—court records show he was expected at 9 a.m. in Greene County Circuit Court and is believed to be in Puerto Rico.  NEA Report

  • The University of Arkansas at Little Rock announced its Spring 2025 graduating class—this includes students from Jonesboro. Over 1,040 degrees were awarded on May 17 at the UA Little Rock Jack Stephens Center.  The Fox 104.9

  • University of Arkansas wide receiver Ismael Cisse had surgery last Friday for torn ligaments in his wrist and will probably miss the season, Coach Sam Pittman stated at SEC media days—Arkansas will name his replacement at fall camp starting Aug. 1.  Delta Digital News Service
