- ➤ A former Jonesboro police officer accused of beating a handcuffed man will face trial from November 17—21 after a judge postponed his original court date and he is charged with aggravated assault, filing a false report, and third-degree battery. K8 News
- ➤ A Craighead County husband and wife were charged with felony offenses after investigators said they physically and sexually assaulted a man on Sept. 7—recording the attack as the victim was struck with a belt and forced into unwanted contact—and Judge Tommy Fowler set a $25,000 bond for 20-year-old Tristyn Johnson while ordering no contact, with arraignment set for Aug. 21. - ➤ A 19-year-old suspect, Deshune Omarelle Lowe, was arrested on July 16 in connection to a June 12 aggravated robbery on Mary Jane Drive and faces charges of aggravated robbery, third-degree battery and aggravated assault—he is held on a $500K bond and must have no contact with the victim. Registration begins Oct. 10 at 8 a.m.—the event will also include live music, an expo, and an awards ceremony. K8 News
