  • Tim O. Brown from Jonesboro, a 1979 Arkansas State graduate, received the Loyalty Award on Aug. 5 at the Pi Kappa Alpha International Leadership Academy at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis — the honor recognizes his longstanding service to the fraternity.  The Fox 104.9
  • All Saints Lutheran Church and Classical School welcomed Rev. Father Daniel Paul Suelzle as their new associate pastor and educator on Aug. 3. CRIME NEWS

  • A traffic stop in Jonesboro led officers to find a cache of items — an AR-15 with loaded drum magazines, marijuana, and nearly $3,500 in cash — that linked 40-year-old Christopher Wallace Triplett to drug activity and resulted in charges for drug and firearms offenses, with him now held on a $250,000 bond and facing a court date on Sept. 30.  Jonesboro Right Now
