- ➤ Construction updates for the Ridge Athletics Center were given at Tuesday’s Advertising and Promotions Commission meeting, with crews starting cement work on the warm-up pool and finishing rebar on the competition pool—crews will pour the competition pool bottom soon, and tilt-up walls are set to be installed in November as teams work six days a week to catch up after May rains. The 200,000-square-foot complex on Race Street, featuring a gym and a 50-meter pool, is projected to cost $74.6 million and will open in late summer or early fall next year. Jonesboro Right Now
