  • 16-year-old Aden Graham will host his first Light the Darkness 5K later this month at Bay Veterans Memorial to raise awareness for Suicide Prevention Month and honor his late uncle who died by suicide.   • Today, the ASU System Board of Trustees approved the $10.5-million, 20,000-square-foot first phase of the CREST Center at A-State—which will support workforce training in automated manufacturing, steel, and food processing—with construction set to begin soon after a $7.5 million grant was awarded from the HIRED program.  NEA Report
  • ASU System trustees approved the first phase of a $10.5-million, 20,000-square-foot Career Readiness Education and Skills Training Center at A-State on Sept. 12.   • Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced today that she appointed Jonesboro resident David Peacock to the Arkansas State Board of Education to replace Dr. Sarah Moore—Peacock is the president of Hytrol whose term expires on June 30, 2032 and served over a decade in the Marine Corps before leading his company.  NEA Report
