11 at 8 a.m. at St. Bernard’s Health and Wellness Center in Jonesboro—survivors join a Survivor Parade at 8:30 a.m. and participants choose between a 5K run or a one-mile walk, with packet pick-up on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11.

Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund named Shaneka Brandon from Craighead County as September’s Volunteer of the Month after she dedicated two years to assisting single parents.

Brandon first learned about the scholarship when she was a student at ASUN in Jonesboro (she now serves as director of career pathways at UACCB).
