  • The Williams Baptist University Theatre program will open its season with the mystery comedy Moriarty from November 6–8 at 7:30 p.m. in Startup Chapel—directed by Melinda Williams and featuring local talent from Walnut Ridge, Jonesboro and surrounding areas; ticket prices are $3 for students and senior citizens and $5 for general admission.  NEA Report

  • Arkansas State University will darken its clock tower this Sunday to honor late alumna Kay Luter whose $500,000 donation supports veterinary scholarships and faculty development in the College of Veterinary Medicine—marking her lasting investment in animal health education.   • As daylight saving time ends tomorrow, the American Red Cross urges Jonesboro residents to test their smoke alarms before setting clocks back on Nov. 2.   • Cross County beat Marked Tree 44-20 in a Friday night football game on Oct. 31. The win is expected to boost the team's confidence—helping them prepare for upcoming matches.  K8 News
  • On Oct. 31, GOTW Valley View beat Nettleton 21-14 in Friday night football. The team made key plays in the final quarter to secure the win.  K8 News
  • Yesterday at Graham Creek Nature Preserve in Foley, AL—Arkansas State's cross country team earned top five finishes in both the men's 8K and women's 5K races. Carlo Martinez-Jaramillo won his second consecutive individual title while five female runners posted career bests.  Jonesboro Right Now
