- ➤ The DAV Turkey Trot 5K will take place on A-State’s campus tomorrow with registration beginning at 6 a.m. and the race starting at 7 a.m. The run supports local disabled veterans with all funds going directly to services in the area. Northeast Arkansas News
- ➤ Jonesboro kicks off a month-long series of holiday events today with the opening of Christmas at the Park drive-through light display running until Dec. 23—festivities also include a free holiday concert on Dec. 4, a ‘Candy Christmas’ parade on Dec. 5, and Downtown Jonesboro JoyFest with tree lighting and Winter Wonderland opening on Dec. 6, plus a symphony performance and a family musical running through Dec. 22. - ➤ Schools, businesses, community groups, and churches must register by 5 p.m. Friday, November 28 for the Jonesboro Christmas Parade, which will take place on December 5 at 7 p.m. on Main Street in Downtown Jonesboro. Northeast Arkansas News
- ➤ The Food Bank of Northeast Arkansas will hold drive-thru USDA food distributions on Dec. 3 at three Poinsett County locations: Marked Tree Fire Station from 9 to 10 a.m., Trumann Sports Complex from 9 to 10 a.m. and Lepanto City Hall from 11 a.m. to noon. Households must live in the county and meet TEFAP income guidelines to receive food on a first come, first served basis—supplies are available until they run out. NEA Report

- ➤ The Stage Theater Co. will present 'The Best Christmas Pageant Ever: The Musical' at the Nettleton Performing Arts Center on December 6 at 6 p.m. and December 7 at 2 p.m.—tickets cost $15. - ➤ Arkansas State University and K8 will award 10 scholarships worth $10,000 each to local seniors planning to attend A-State in Jonesboro. Students must apply by January 31 — the scholarships are part of a $100,000 fund for community students. K8 News
