  • On Thanksgiving morning, nearly 90 Jonesboro runners took part in the 2nd Annual DAV Turkey Trot 5K at the Military Science Building on Arkansas State University campus—raising funds to replace two veteran transport vans that help veterans get free rides to VA clinics. CULTURE NEWS

  • Delta Symphony Orchestra will host its first Candlelight Classic in Jonesboro—an event that will feature a special concert with professional music. The orchestra, a part of the region's cultural scene since 1973, plans to introduce a new musical experience for local residents.  Jonesboro Sun
  • The Hemingway-Pfeiffer Museum and Educational Center will host a holiday bus tour on December 13 that starts at 8 a.m. in Memphis and 9 a.m. in Little Rock, offering festive snacks, holiday drinks, and a rum tasting before visiting a restored historic Pfeiffer home in Piggott—the stop that marks the tour's beginning—then continues to Wilson and ends around 7 p.m. with tickets costing $265 from Memphis and $285 from Little Rock for adults 21 and older.  Jonesboro Right Now

  • Arkansas State University will host Giving Tuesday on Dec. 2 to raise funds for its Student Emergency Fund and key university initiatives — donors giving $25 or more will receive a Comfort Colors Back the Pack T-shirt while all donors get a ticket to the A-State vs. UT Arlington men’s basketball game at 7 p.m. at First National Bank Arena.  NEA Report
