  • The Arvest Foundation has awarded a $4,000 grant to CASA of the 2nd Judicial District to recruit+train+support volunteers for children in foster care in Craighead, Greene and Poinsett Counties.   • Jonesboro 911 is launching its ‘Adopt the Dispatch Center’ holiday drive—inviting residents to donate gift baskets, meals, crafts, or thank-you cards to honor local dispatchers.   • Gas prices in Arkansas dropped more than 9 cents last week as the average for regular unleaded fell to $2.53 per gallon based on GasBuddy’s survey of 1,826 stations — analysts say refinery maintenance and increased oil production by OPEC helped drive the decline, giving drivers extra savings during the holiday season.  K8 News
