- ➤ A man from Palestine, AR broke into a Jonesboro apartment Saturday night on Greensboro Road and assaulted a couple—he faces charges of aggravated residential burglary, third-degree domestic battery, and second-degree assault with a $150,000 cash bond, a no-contact order, and a scheduled court appearance on May 22. - ➤ On Monday, the Arkansas Senate voted down Senate Bill 354 for the fourth time, failing to secure $750 million for a new 3,000-bed prison in Franklin County—lawmakers need eight more votes to pass the measure.
