- ➤ Jonesboro police responded Saturday night at 9:35 p.m. on State Street after gunfire, finding one person with a minor injury treated at the scene and a man with a non-life-threatening wound taken to the hospital, while a 33-year-old suspect was arrested on charges involving a deadly weapon—JPD is continuing its investigation. - ➤ NYITCOM at A-State held its White Coat Ceremony Saturday where 124 future doctors joined the tenth class at the Fowler Center in Jonesboro—students with a doctor in their family had a special moment—and two students were honored with the Dr. Michael and Julie Isaacson Scholarship. K8 News
- ➤ The University of Arkansas held its spring graduation ceremonies on Aug. 2nd at Bud Walton Arena and Barnhill Arena—where over 5,500 graduates, including Jonesboro students, had their names added to Senior Walk.
